How to order: Browse our shop pages and add items to your basket. As you shop your order is being collected in your basket page, which you can view at anytime you are shopping online. When you have finished browsing, go to ‘Basket’ and proceed to the checkout. Here you will be asked to either fill out your details or sign-in if you are a returning customer. Filling out your details is effectively registering (your email address and the password chosen is all you’ll need next time). We do not keep or store any sensitive information or credit card details on this website. Purchases are all handled by our online facility WorldPay part of RBS - Royal Bank of Scotland.
Delivery: We deliver most orders within 2-4 working days, often the next day. When you’ve placed your order you will receive an email shortly thereafter acknowledging your order and purchase. All our food and produce is imported twice weekly from Italy. In order to ensure the highest possible quality and freshness some items may be still on their way and minor delays can occur. You will we made aware of any items that may take a little longer to arrive. Pricing: All our prices are in British Pound Sterling £ and are inclusive of V.A.T. The price of the goods does not include delivery charges. There is a base delivery fee of £6.50, items are then calculated by their delivery weight and charged accordingly. The price of goods may be changed at any time if any goods have been mispriced by mistake. Should this occur Machiavelli is not obliged to supply them at that price, you will be notified and advised of the correct price before the order is dispatched.
Availability: We pride ourselves on the freshness of our products and produce, freshly imported and sourced from artisan manufacturers. So whilst most of the time we have a balanced stock relative to the expected demand, occasionally we may run out of specific items. You will be notified at point of order about any items out of stock and one of our team will contact you advising on its next availability which may be just a few days away or in exceptional circumstances slightly longer.
Returns policy: Shortages or quality issues must be reported within 48 hours from delivery. No claims will be accepted thereafter.
